URBANA, Ill. (WAND) — The Urbana Fire Department is investigating after a vacant home caught fire Wednesday morning.

Firefighters responded to the 1000 block of North Goodwin Avenue just after 6 a.m. Crews saw smoke coming from a second-floor window when they arrived, and they were told the building was believed to be vacant.

The department said the fire was under control within 30 minutes and nobody was found inside. Crews were on scene for over three hours.

The Urbana Fire Department Investigation Team is still working to determine the cause of the fire.
