(WAND) — A weekend wave of snow and extreme cold is prompting closures and cancellations across central Illinois.

The following is a list of closings, cancellations and delayed openings for Monday, January 26, 2026.

  • Parkland College: All classes, programs and services for Monday cancelled. Notice includes all athletic events and partner classes taking place on campus. All access roads to campus will be closed, and there will be no bus service by the MTD
  • Eastern Illinois University: EIU will be closed Monday, including all classes and campus operations
  • Urbana Park District: Facilities will open late at 10 a.m. Monday
  • Coles County Courthouse: Closed Monday
  • Moultrie County Courthouse: Closed Monday
  • Macon County Courthouse and all county offices: Closed Monday
  • Decatur Waste Management: Waste management will service Decatur customers one day later this week. Monday routes will now be collected on Tuesday (1/27), Tuesday routes collected on Wednesday (1/28), and so on.
  • Macon County Health Department: Closed Monday
  • Decatur Obedience Training Club classes scheduled for 6pm Monday are cancelled
