SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — Someone in central Illinois is celebrating after winning a $3 million prize from a Mega Millions ticket bought in Springfield.

The ticket was bought at a Quik-N-EZ at 430 N. Grand Ave. in Springfield. It matched all five white ball numbers drawn on Tuesday night, but missed the Mega Ball.

With a 3x multiplier applied, the original $1 million prize was tripled to $3 million.

"This store has proudly served the community for more than 26 years and has celebrated many winning lottery moments along the way," said Damon Cranford, CEO of Chronister Oil Company, which operates Quik-N-EZ stores throughout central Illinois. "While this isn't the largest prize we've ever sold, it's certainly among the biggest."

The gas station will get a $30,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The Mega Millions jackpot is now at $458 million ahead of the Friday night drawing.
