DECATUR, ILL. (WAND) - Mother's Day is right around the corner and time is ticking to get a gift.Â
Secret Garden in Decatur has been prepping and delivering gifts all week long. This is the second busiest time of year for business.
The floral shop offers a wide selection of flowers, plants, vases and several other gift sets any mom would love.Â
Shopping local not only benefits a small business, but it also benefits the entire community.Â
"When you order online through a big company, they usually keep a percentage of your money and then pass the rest on to the flower shop. When you order directly from the flower shop, all of your money stays in the community, and you get a better selection and better price," said Lori Barrett, co-owner of Secret Garden.
The shop will end deliveries on Friday. However, you can still go to the shop to pick from a wide selection of gifts Saturday. Barrett suggests arriving early before they get sold out.Â
