CLINTON, IL- The nuclear power plant in Clinton is currently offline for a scheduled refueling.

Exelon says about 40-percent of the reactor's fuel is being replaced.

Workers will also perform maintenance on several components of the plant and conduct thousands of inspections.

Exelon says they have brought in 350 workers from other nuclear facilities and about 1,700 local union workers to perform the refueling project.
