LONG CREEK, Ill. (WAND) — Fire has ripped through a home in Long Creek Township outside of Decatur, and sent one man to the hospital.

A person nearby told WAND News they heard an explosion around 11:10 a.m. Tuesday. It's not clear what may have exploded or what caused the fire.
Long Creek Fire Chief Stephen Webb told WAND News that one man was inside the home and has been taken to the hospital.
Webb said that when crews arrived to the scene, there was heavy fire coming through the center of the house.
WAND News has a crew on the scene and is gathering more information.Â
The fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office.
