Mattoon Middle School closed Wednesday due to issues with the boiler

MATTOON, Ill. (WAND) - Mattoon Middle School is closed for an Emergency Dan Wednesday. 

This closure is for Mattoon Middle School only due to unforeseen circumstances with the boiler at the school. 

"Our primary concern is for the health and safety of our students and staff. This morning, we were notified of a boiler malfunction at MMS. Maintenance crews are on site and working to resolve the issue as soon as possible."
