DECATUR - April MDA event in Decatur makes huge impact. The Muscular Dystrophy Lock Up held at the Decatur Club April 7th had jailbirds from the community, including Wand's Sean Streaty, calling and raising money for MDA. Fundraising Coordinator Andie Savoree says the total for the event was just over $40,672. Savoree says the money raised will be appreciated by all of the families in Macon County and surrounding areas living with Muscular Dystrophy, ALS, and other forms of muscle disease. Nearly 78 cents of every dollar donated goes directly back into services and into research. You can still donate to MDA!
