Cass County, IL - The parents of a Cass County man murdered in 2008 are now taking their daughter-in-law to court.
Steven Watkins was shot to death while visiting his 3-year-old daughter at the home of her grandmother, Shirley Skinner. Skinner has since been charged with Watkins death.
Lawyers representing Watkins' parents say the goal of the lawsuit is to protect the little girl from further trauma.
Jennifer Watkins will be questioned under oath about her daughter at a deposition next Tuesday.
