DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - Police are investigating after police found a man dead on the ground.
Director of Public Safety Larry Thomason said police were dispatched to the 100 block of N State Street around 9 P.M. Friday night Oct 26 when residents in the area reported hearing gunshots.
“Officers arriving found a 42 year old Allan Bryant lying on the ground,” Thomason said. “The man was found with what appeared to be a gunshot to the upper body. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
According to Thomason the incident is being investigated as a homicide. No other information is being released at this time.
Thomason did ask that persons with any information about the incident to contact Danville police at 431-2250 or use Crimestoppers at 446-TIPS to leave anonymous information. A cash reward is being offered.
