DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Thinkwell Makerspace is a place for makers to let their creativity run wild.
Executive Director Jesse Blunt says the space is now open to anyone.
“What we’re hoping to show tonight is how diverse the people we already have are and the skillsets that are here, but how we put those things to use and how this space starts to grow and evolve is probably the most exciting thing,” said Blunt.

The space can be used in many different ways. People interested in STEAM topics can learn more about them in hands-on activities.
“We like to think that we are a space that’s inviting for people that want to be creative, but we hope to make it an entrepreneurial ecosystem. The fact that it’s new and unique to Decatur, I think, represents something bright, something that people can look forward to, and it ought to be a pretty fun spring,” stated Blunt.
During the prototype phase, you can purchase a $40 monthly membership.
