SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) – A suspect in a Springfield armed robbery stole from a second store in the same chain, police say.

The Springfield armed robbery happened after 3 p.m. Tuesday at Check Into Cash, located at 1754 Wabash Ave. Police say the suspect stole a gun and took cash from the behind the counter before running from the scene.

Investigators say the same suspect stole from a Bloomington Check Into Cash store on Jan. 28. Springfield and Bloomington law enforcement started working together on the case and ended up arresting 39-year-old Bloomington man Toshiro Luttrell on Wednesday night.

An arrest warrant for Lattrell was for charges of armed robbery, aggravated robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon and theft over $500. It carried a bond of $250,000.
