(WAND) - About 2,600 units of Primark DTR four-pack Stitch scented highlighters are being recalled nationwide.
The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission said the highlighters contain phthalates, which violates the federal phthalates ban.
Phthalates are toxic if ingested by young children and can cause serious health effects.
The recall involves the Stitch scented highlighters in yellow, blue, pink and green colors. The highlighters are shaped like slushie containers with a drinking straw, and each portrays a Stitch character.
Customers are urged to immediately quit using the markers and return them to a Primark store for a full refund.
The product was sold exclusively at Primark stores in the northeast and in Florida, Maryland and Illinois from May 2024 to May 2025.
No incidents or injuries have been reported from this recall.
