DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Red Tail Run Golf Course in Decatur will be conducting controlled prescribed burns in the coming months.Â
The Decatur Park District posed it uses prescribed burns at Red Tail Run Golf Course as a tool to manage prairie and woodland habitats.Â
"By harnessing the natural process of fire, we are able to ensure the health and vitality of our ecosystem while creating a sustainable environment for all to enjoy," the park district said.Â
