A stunner for Chicago's Olympic hopes. Rio de Janeiro will be the host for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
The International Olympic Committee had been voting all morning in Copenhagen. Chicago was up against Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, And Madrid, but after just the first round of voting, the IOC president announced that Chicago had gotten the least number of votes and had been eliminated.
Tokyo was eliminated in the second round.
