Ruler Foods in Champaign to close

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - Ruler Foods in Champaign will be closing. 

The Kroger subsidiary located at 716 W. Towne Center Blvd. will close, according to a Ruler Foods spokesperson. 

That spokesperson told WAND News each impacted associate will be offered the opportunity to transfer to a new location. 

The closure is part of a larger company-wide decision to "run more efficiently and ensure the long-term health" of the business.
