SPRINGFIELD, IL- A Springfield man will spend most of the next decade in prison after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.
James Michael Yeager, 37, was sentenced to 9 years in federal prison Friday. Yeager will have to remain on supervised release for the remained of his life following completion of his sentence.
Yeager pled guilty to receiving child pornography in December of last year. He was arrested in September 2010.
The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation. Â
