DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) – Decatur kids will be able to obtain free lunches throughout the summer through a program run by the Decatur Park District.
Many school kids depend on free lunches offered by Decatur Public Schools during the school year. When summer break starts, the park district fills the void at several locations.
Kids 18 and under can obtain a free lunch Monday through Friday. The program is running now through July 31. Here are the times and locations when those lunches can be picked up:
- Oak Grove Park, South Shore Park and Overlook Adventure Park playground; 10:30-11:30 a.m.
- Monroe, Torrence, Mueller; 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
- Garfield, Hess, John’s Hill; 1-2 p.m.
