(WAND) - Sunshine is finally in the forecast for Central Illinois.
After a long period of wintry weather, clouds, and dense fog, we'll see some sunshine today and more later this week.

Morning clouds and patchy fog will give way to a sun and cloud mix today and highs in the low-to-mid-40s.

A few showers are possible tonight into Tuesday morning and snow flurries can't be ruled out Tuesday. It'll be rather breezy with highs in the low-40s.

Sunshine returns Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the 40s Wednesday and in the low-50s Thursday!

A front dropping in Thursday night could bring a few showers into Friday morning.
Â
Highs Friday through the weekend will be in the low-to-mid-40s.

More showers are possible again Sunday.
