RIVERTON, Ill. (WAND) - Emergency crews were called out for a fire in Riverton Wednesday afternoon.
Riverton Fire responded to a working structure fire on a multi-unit residential structure in the 3000 Block of Colt Road.
The cause of fire still under investigation by office of the State Fire Marshal.
One side of the entire structure is total loss due to heavy fire damage.
No people were injured, but three cats and one dog died.
Riverton, Springfield Fire, Sangamon Rescue Squad, Sherman, Williamsville, Rochester, and Dawson all responded.
