Illinois State Police are sharing more details about the crash.Â
ISP says, a Toyota Corolla was driving north on County Road 1400 East and didn't stop at the stop sign and hit the driver's side of the Ford Edge that was driving west on County Road 900 North.Â
The passenger in the Corolla, Peyton Owen of Hammond, died at the scene. The driver of the Ford Edge, Kimberly Odgen of Monticello, also died at the scene.
The driver of the Corolla, a 23 year old man from Hammon was taken to the hospital for his injuries.
ISP says, he was issued a citation for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Drugs and Disobeying a Stop Sign.

PIATT COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) — Two people are dead after a two-vehicle crash in rural Piatt County.
The Piatt County Coroner says, the crash happened Saturday near County Road 900 North and 1400 East which is near Bement.Â
The coroner says, 50 year old Kimberly Odgen and 22 year old Peyton Owen died from their injuries.Â
The accident is under investigation by Illinois State Police, Piatt County Sheriff's Department and the Coroner's Office.Â
