URBANA, Ill. (WAND) — Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash in Urbana Saturday afternoon.
According to the University of Illinois Division of Public Safety, university police responded to the 2300 block of South Lincoln Avenue around 12:30 p.m.
Police said officers found an SUV and a motorcycle with damage when they arrived. The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Division of Public Safety said Lincoln Avenue is closed between Windsor Road and St. Mary's Road "until further notice." Drivers have been asked to avoid the area.
