Two people injured in Champaign mobile home fire

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - Two people were injured in a mobile home fire in Champaign early Monday morning.

The Champaign Fire Department responded to a fire inside a home in the 4800 block of W. Windsor Rd. at 2:37 a.m. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire.

Firefighters responded after a neighbor called and said they saw fire coming from the home.

Firefighters saw heavy smoke and fire coming from the mobile home.

The two occupants were outside when the Fire Department arrived, suffering from burns. Firefighters provided medical attention to them and deployed multiple hose lines to extinguish the fire.

The cause of this fire has not been determined as investigators remain on the scene conducting their investigation.

The occupants were treated on scene and transported to a local hospital. The home was heavily damaged by the fire.
