SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - The United States Postal Service is reminding the public that post offices will be closed on July 4 in observance of Independence Day.
USPS officials say there will be no mail delivery, Post Office Box service, or caller service on Independence Day as a result. However, those who wish to purchase stamps, mail packages, or ship letters may do so at Self Service Kiosks at select post offices.
The Kiosks are accessible at all times, and can weigh packages and dispense postage for Priority Express, Priority, First-Class, and Parcel Post mail. Kiosk customers may pay with debit or credits cards.
