ARTHUR, Ill. (WAND) — The Village of Arthur coming together to celebrate one of their most recognizable faces in town.
Chief of Police Michael Goodman, celebrating his 30 year career with a retirement party. The community came together to honor Chief Goodman with cake and treats, as a way to thank him for protecting their town for 30 years.
"I really loved what I did, so it didn't really seem like a job" shares Chief Goodman. "Serving this community has been just an absolute honor for me."
Chief Goodman is looking forward to his retirement, and shares how excited he is to spend more time with his family and play a round, or two, of golf!
