DECATUR - The City of Decatur Water Division has lifted the boil order for businesses affected by a water main break.
The broken water main spewed water in the 100 block of South Oakland Avenue in front of the Lock, Stock, and Barrel and Donnie's Homespun Pizza. The water main was repaired yesterday and after sampling the boil order in effect was lifted Tuesday afternoon. Traffic was blocked on that stretch of South Oakland but is being reopened.
Water Main breaks often occur due to aging pipes and changing temperatures.
