U.S. Census Releases Stats on Veteran Population in Illinois

WASHINGTON - In honor of Military Appreciation Month, the website WalletHub has released its report on 2016's Best and Worst States for Military Retirees.

Analysts compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 20 metrics, ranging from job opportunities for veterans to number of Veterans Administrations facilities per number of veterans.

Illinois ranked 41st overall. Alaska is the top state.
