TAYLORVILLE, Ill. (WAND) — A woman in Christian County has been arrested for sending inappropriate text messages to minors, according to the Christian County Sheriff's Office.
Ashley N. Getz, 36, was arrested and charged with grooming on April 2.
The sheriff's office said that it first became aware of an adult woman sending unwanted texts to juveniles on Feb. 26 of this year.
Getz made her first appearance in court where she was charged with four counts of grooming, a class 4 felony, and denied pretrial release. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for April 29.
