The Savoy Fire Department and the Village of Savoy are recognizing the retirement of longtime Public Information Officer Eddie Bain, marking the end of a career spanning more than five decades in the fire service. Bain’s career includes service with the Illinois Fire Service Institute, the Champaign Fire Department, and the Urbana Fire Department. For the past 19 years, he has served the Savoy Fire Department as its Public Information Officer.
