CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - More than 400 kids attended a youth football camp hosted by Chicago Bears wide receiver, Rome Odunze, on Saturday.

Children ranging from ages 6 to 16 took the field at the High School of St. Thomas More. The camp had various stages where attendees learned football strategy, competed for prizes, and took part in various football drills.

Each station taught kids important tools needed to compete on the field, including running routes, form tackling, and blocking.

As groups rotated, all participants had a chance to take pictures with Odunze while also playing games of two-hand-touch in the center of the field.

Odunze was the 9th overall pick by the Bears in the 2024 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, he finished with 54 receptions totaling 734 yards and scored 3 touchdowns.
