(WAND) - As the fall postseason begins drawing to a close, our area programs are rising to the occasion!

On Friday, WAND Sports was at CEFCU Arena at Illinois State University for the IHSA volleyball state semifinals.

Meanwhile in Champaign, the Illini volleyball and men's basketball teams were in action hoping to continue their winning ways on home court.

We also unveil the latest Athlete of the Week selection, who has played a big role in helping their team through the playoffs.

Frenzy 15 will expand beyond the traditional newscast time on the WAND Now app - a 24/7 streaming platform available on smart TV’s and mobile devices. Viewers watching the News at 10 via traditional means will need to switch to the WAND Now App at 10:35 p.m.

Cissna Park volleyball clinched a spot in the 1A state championship game in their third consecutive appearance in the final four.
