CHARLESTON, Ill. (WAND) -- After Eastern Illinois big come back win Saturday two of their players are being recognized this week.
Kicker Stone Galloway and Running Back MJ Flowers were named Big South-OVC football players of the week.
Galloway was named Special Teams Co-player of the week. He missed the first 2 games of the season with a leg muscle injury, but returned Saturday in a big way, nailing a 56 yard field goal with 20 seconds left to secure the 31-28 victory.
Flowers was named Freshman of the week. He ran for 272 yards, the most by an NCAA play this season, and the third most in EIU single-season history. He also caught six passes finishing the day with 298 all purpose yards.
