DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Friday! Showers are moving through Central Illinois this morning, but they won’t hang around for very long. Expect rain to exit by late morning, with dry and cloudy conditions for the afternoon. Rain totals look low with around a tenth of an inch expected. Temperatures will be steady today, right around 60 degrees. Winds will be out of the north behind the rain, and this will cool down temperatures overnight into the 40s.

Saturday is looking mild with high temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. There is a chance for a few scattered showers on Saturday afternoon, but most of the area will be dry. Much warmer temperatures move in on Sunday. We will start the day in the upper 50s and warm up very quickly into the 70s as gusty winds out of the south take over for the afternoon.

Next week looks very unsettled. Storm chances will move in overnight Sunday. These could linger into Monday morning. Temperatures will be well above average in the 80s through next Tuesday. Storm chances will be present through the middle of next week.

Have a great weekend!
