CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - The #23 Illinois Fighting Illini return to action following a much-needed week off to face off with the Washington Huskies in the Emerald City.
Before the week off, the Illini got stomped at home by top-ranked Ohio State, 34-16. The 16 points were the most the Buckeyes have allowed in a game this season, if that is any consolation to fans. Washington, on the other hand, is coming off a 24-7 loss to Michigan at the Big House.
Illinois and Washington will meet for the first time as Big Ten opponents, with the Huskies winning four straight in the series, per Illinois Athletics. Last time the Fighting Illini visited Seattle resulted in a 44-19 shellacking. Hopefully, Illinois can return the favor, or else they will be Sleepless in Seattle. Get it?
