CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - The #5 Illinois Fighting Illini puts its 11-game winning streak on the line against rival Northwestern.
Illinois is coming off its second top-five road win this season after knocking off then-#5 Nebraska 78-69 on Sunday. The program is just one win away from its seventh straight 20-win campaign under Brad Underwood, which would join four other programs in the country to do so, including Houston, Gonzaga and San Diego State, per Illinois Athletics.
The Illini defeated Northwestern 79-68 on Jan. 14 in Evanston.
