ORLANDO, Fla. (WAND) - Orlando may be the place where dreams come true, but Illini fans are not dreaming.
A 10-win season is now a reality and the Illini are Citrus Bowl champions.
"At Illinois, we often get well, we haven't ever done this or they want to go back to certain times, and I always say, that's great (but) let's turn the page, let's move forward," said head coach Bret Bielema.
Illinois football has come so far in recent years, and so has Bret Bielema who has resurrected the program.
"When I was relieved of my last college coaching job, I knew that I wanted to prove what I can do. I want to do it my way," said Bielema. "
Coach B's job is not finished as the Orange and Blue have even greater things in mind for next season.
"We have a chance to do something very special in the future," said Bielema. "This was the culmination of 2024 but it was really the start of 2025.
