CHICAGO, Ill. (WAND) -- The retention for Illinois men's basketball is officially done after Andrej Stojakovic withdraws his name from the NBA Draft on Wednesday.
Stojakovic now joins David Mirkovic, Tomislav Ivisic, Zvonimir Ivisic and Jake Davis as five playmakers returning from the final four team, and this team is ready to run it back next season.
Stojakovic was a factor for the Illini coming off the bench last season in the teams final four run, averaging 13.5 points per game, shooting 50% from the field but only 24% from three.
He said coming back to Illinois he is working on making shot selections quicker and proving he can be the guy the team can rely on to score from where ever.
