CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — For the first time in 20 years, Illinois's football program has sold out of public season tickets.
Over 34,000 public season tickets have been sold, excluding student and premium seating.
According to the University, the Fighting Illini's final season ticket total for kickoff against Western Illinois on Friday, Aug. 29, is expected to exceed 43,000.
Illinois' four-game mini plan will go on sale Thursday at 9 a.m. CT, including matchups at Memorial Stadium against Western Illinois, Ohio State, Rutgers, and Northwestern. The mini plan is priced at $175 for the four games.
Illinois will host seven games at Memorial Stadium and returns 18 starters from last year's Citrus Bowl team, which finished #16 in the final AP Top 25.
Student season tickets are currently on sale. Illinois expects to sell out of student season tickets for the second consecutive season in 2025.
All suites for the 2025 season are sold out, but there are a few limited options still available in Illinois' premium seating areas.
