ST. LOUIS, Ill. (WAND) - The 2026 class for Illinois football continues to build, as Bret Bielema landed Kirkwood High School (St. Louis) wide receiver/safety Jacob Eberhart.
After weighing his offers which also included power programs like Alabama, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Nebraska, Eberhart chose to take his talents to Champaign. Jacob's father, Jason, was a defensive lineman at the U-of-I from 1997 to 2000.
The 4-star recruit had an impressive 2024 season. Offensively he caught 42 passes for 795 yards and scored 13 touchdowns. As a safety, Jacob made 45 tackles and 3 interceptions according to 247sports.
