CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) -- Illinois men's basketball win steak now at 12 in a row after a dominating win over Northwestern Wedensday night.
The Illini defeated the Wildcats 84-44 in a game Illinois was in charge of from the tip off.
That victory marks the largest conference win for the team since the 2004 season and it's now the 7th straight season with at least 20 wins.
Illinois out rebounded Northwestern 50-23 and tallied 20 assists in the game which players sid is possible because of the trust they have with each others shooting abilities.
Illinois looking for their third straight top 10 win on the road after the home team has loss their previous game, they did it the last 2 weekends at then #4 Purdue and #5 Nebraska.
