Kasparas Jakucionis selected 20th overall by the Miami Heat

(WAND) -- Illinois freshman guard Kasparas Jakucionis was selected in the first round 20th overall by the Miami Heat. 

In his freshman year with the Illini he played and started in 33 games. In those games he averages 15 points per game, shot 44% from the field and just under 32% from the field.

And on defense he had nine blocks, 29 steals and 188 rebounds. 

Jakucionis was named Big Ten All-Freshman, All Big Ten Second Team (AP), and All Big Ten Third Team (coaches & media). 

He also set a freshman record at Illinois with 10 games of 20 or more points.
