CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - For over 20 years, Illini men's basketball fans waited for another opportunity to cheer on their team on college basketball's biggest stage.
A national championship wasn't in the cards for Illinois in 2026, but it gave the program and those who represent the university something to keep striving for.

A banner will one day hang from the rafters of State Farm Center commemorating the tremendous season. Outliving the fabric will be the impression made by the 2025-26 Fighting Illini.
