CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) -- Illinois football beat Indiana in an overtime barn burner that had everyone on the edge of their seats.

John Paddock would connect with Isaiah Washington for the game winning touchdown in overtime to take down Indiana 48-45.

The Illini recorded 662 total yards offensively, including over 500 yards through the air, the most since 1980.

Paddock made his first career start for Illinois, tallying 507 passing yards and four touchdowns, while completing 24 of his 36 passes.

The 507 yards are a Memorial Stadium record and the second most in a single game in program history.
