DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Unity Christian has hired Donna Dulle as the Lions' next volleyball coach.
Dulle takes over for Rhonda Glidewell, who announced her retirement after 12 seasons in December.
Unity Christian said that Dulle is ranked second in state history with 1,193 wins during stops at Mt. Pulaski High School, Tri-Valley High School and Blue Ridge High School.
Under Dulle, Mt. Pulaski advanced to the state tournament 14 times and won two state volleyball championships in 1989 and 2007.
Additionally, Dulle will need 26 wins to surpass St. Francis High School's Peg Kopec as the state's all-time leader.
"I am extremely excited to coach at Unity Christian where Rhonda Glidewell has built an amazing program. She has implemented many changes to make this program one of the best in the state of Illinois," Dulle said in a statement.
