A beautiful and sunny start to the week

DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Monday! It will be another gorgeous day with plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures in the low 70s. Winds will be fairly calm with gusts around 20 to 25 mph. Temperatures will fall overnight into the mid-40s for early Tuesday morning.

Temperatures will soar into the upper 70s and low 80s ahead of our next chance of storms. There will be a line of showers and storms that moves through the area Tuesday evening. These showers will produce a few heavy storms, but rainfall totals will be light, with a quarter to half an inch of rain expected.

Storms will exit by early Wednesday morning. It will be dry and breezy through Friday morning behind the rain. Temperatures will be seasonable around 70 degrees through Friday. Some blowing dust concerns will persist through Thursday afternoon. Rain chances with warm temperatures will move in for the weekend.
