DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Wednesday! A cool weather pattern is settling in across the Midwest and will be with us through the weekend. Temperatures are starting in the low 50s and upper 40s this morning. This is similar to Tuesday’s temperatures, so expect a little chill in the air through the morning. High temperatures today will only warm into the low 60s. Winds will be slightly stronger this afternoon, with gusts around 25 mph, so that it will feel a bit cooler than yesterday.

Overnight lows tonight will be a little chilly in the low 40s. Temperatures on Thursday afternoon will be almost a repeat of our temperatures today. Expect temperatures to warm into the low to mid 60s with clouds building into the region. A few scattered showers are possible overnight Thursday into early Friday, but very little accumulation is expected at this time.

The weekend will start with cold temperatures. There is a chance for some frost Saturday morning for areas along and north of I-72 as temperatures drop into the 30s. Temperatures will warm up a bit for Sunday with highs closer to average in the upper 60s.
