DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Things are quiet but still bitterly cold! Arctic high pressure rolls in, bringing colder air, clear skies, and gusty winds.Â
Another Cold Weather Advisory goes into effect this evening, highlighting wind chills down to negative 20 degrees for most of Central Illinois. However, we’ll see some sunshine for our Wednesday with temperatures returning to the upper teens.Â
The cold persists throughout the work week, but chances of precipitation are minimal until early next week. A weak cold front might bring a chance for snowflakes overnight into Monday morning, but we’ll see if the system holds up as we head through the week.Â
