(WAND) — Another round of storms is likely across Central Illinois this afternoon and evening.
Chances increase the farther south you are, especially south of I-72.
Storms are expected to start off isolated near I-55 around 3 p.m. and develop quickly into severe storms producing damaging winds, large hail, and even an isolated tornado.
Storm will progress eastward and as they enter an unstable atmosphere, more storms will begin to develop creating a volatile situation.
As storms become widespread, the threat will increase for all severe modes, including tornadic activity.
Thunderstorms should be in Indiana by 8 p.m. and that is when the severe weather threat should significantly diminish for central Illinois. Below is a quick breakdown for storms.
