(WAND) - Another round of showers and storms is on the way to central Illinois as we head towards the weekend.
Today will be another very warm one with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low-to-mid-80s.
By daybreak Friday, showers and storms approach from the west. Showers are likely tomorrow with a few rumbles of thunder. It'll be muggy and warm with highs well into the 70s.
Sunshine returns this weekend with highs in the 60s Saturday and overnight lows in the low-40s. We're back into the low-70s Sunday.
It turns much warmer again early next week with strong to severe storms possible by Tuesday.
