DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - It was a picture-perfect day for the unofficial kickoff to Summer as temperatures climbed into the low 80s. Temperatures today will be very similar, but there will be a little less sunshine with clouds moving in. The calm winds will again make it feel a little toasty through the afternoon. Temperatures will stay mild through the evening.
A low-pressure system will move through Illinois to our south. This will trigger a few spotty showers overnight into early Wednesday morning. We have pulled back on the rain chances overall, with just isolated showers now expected. Sunny skies will return by Wednesday afternoon.
Temperatures will stay warm through Thursday with highs in the low to mid-80s. Cooler temperatures will return on Friday. High temperatures for the weekend will be very close to average in the upper 70s. Rain chances will hold off through the weekend.
